Matsuri Kazamaki is a boy belonging to a NinjaExorcist Clan; the Kazamaki Clan, and is heir to the Clan on his grandfather’s side. The NinjaExorcist clans are in charge of exorcising creatures called AYAKASHI, which are invisible to the human eye, and can only be seen by a few specific people, but can cause disturbances and destruction in their path. On the other hand, Suzu Kanade, Matsuri’s childhood friend, for some reason can also see the Ayakashi and in fact, she likes to play with them, although she often ends up in danger for trusting them too much.
