Umi is waiting in karaoke room 17, thinking back to when Chizuru rejected him.

Ruka and Kazuya are in the kitchen. As Kazuya explains that Umi is famous, Ruka sees on her phone that Umi has 300,000 followers. She says she has no interest in male idols such as actors, finding them shallow. Kazuya explains that he had arranged to meet Umi, which surprises Ruka that Kazuya would have such a famous friend. Kazuya admits that it’s through Chizuru, which he instantly regrets as Ruka reacts with a subdued wariness. Then he remembers and points out about the crowdfunding, and Ruka remembers the retweet. But Kazuya feels sure Ruka is not convinced.

Kazuya admires how sexy Ruka is in her work uniform. Seeing her hand as she checks her nails reminds him of when she held his bulge as he ejaculated. (Note: there is nothing about touching her breasts.) Frustrated, he thinks how after that incident, he can’t stop being conscious of her. Ruka points out that an order came from Umi’s room. Kazuya sets off to deliver a glass for the self-service drink bar. He thinks to himself that he’ll just have to wait to get used to things, but he is frustrated with his body. Ruka is now enveloped in pinkness, and his guilt toward Mizuhara is going crazy.

As he enters Umi’s room, he braces himself for what Umi wanted to talk about. He finds Umi in the middle of belting out a song and admires how good Umi is at singing. Miserably, he wonders what is up with this guy, how pro-level it is, perhaps due to voice training? Dammit, it’s too cool. After Umi finishes, he apologizes for intruding on Kazuya’s work, and says that he’s practicing a song for a project. Umi makes some small talk, and Kazuya analyzes that skill in making small talk. Since he has to get back to work, Kazuya asks what Umi wanted to discuss.

Umi: «Ah, well, just a bit about Chizuru-chan…»

Kazuya’s face: OAO !!

Kazuya (thinking): «Aha, so it’s Mizuhara after all! I somewhat prepared for this. Did they meet recently? I’m really curious now! And what the hell is he gonna talk about?»

He imagines Umi «announcing his victory» by saying «Chizuru and I are dating, so can you stop meeting her?» But he remembers Chizuru saying she’s looking forward to July 11th and that she won’t get a boyfriend until then, so he repeats to himself that that day belongs to him. But then wonders if that itself is a lie… (Imagines Chizuru saying she nearly fainted from Umi’s singing voice.)

Umi asks until when Kazuya’s shift is, to which he replies 7pm.

Umi: «OK, then I’ll be waiting at a family restaurant around that time. Well then, see you later.»

Meanwhile, Chizuru is walking the hallway of a place where showbiz people have gathered. Every time a passersby mentions «kiss», whether it’s the fish «kisu» (a.k.a. Japanese Whiting, talking about tempura) or a «kissing scene» (banter between some bigshot and a TV drama actress), Chizuru’s heart pounds and she thinks of the taxi kiss. Resting her chin atop her knuckles, with a dazed expression, she thinks, «This really ain’t good. I’m like an idiot.» She continues down the hallway, slapping her face with both hands. «No good, no good. Focus, focus!»

Back to Kazuya mopping the floor, he is still stressing over what Umi wants to talk about. Ruka suddenly grabs his arm, asking if he has plans for next weekend. Kazuya says he told her not to get too close to him, afraid what Umi might think. Sure enough, as Umi leaves the karaoke room, he spots Ruka grabbing Kazuya’s arm at the end of the hallway. He’s puzzled at this.
